Celebrating
We will meet our goals by striving together and individually to lower our footprints while improving our communities. Joining together, we can support each others’ ambition, share ideas, experiences and resources – and raise a glass when we succeed.
Berwick Royal Oak
demonstrates how communal living can reduce environmental impact while strengthening community connections. A Climate Action Committee collaborates with staff to advance resident led initiatives. Efforts from staff and residents include heat pumps, low carbon meal planning, swap meets, intergenerational learning with a local high school, and engagement with local council.
Creatively United for the Planet
is showcasing local businesses, organizations, institutions and individuals committed to improving the quality of life in the Capital Region of BC. They have done seven zero-waste sustainability showcases, a variety of community events and talks, collaborative partnerships, a televised video series and much more!
