Sustainable Living in Seniors Homes

One Planet Saanich and OneEarth Living, in partnership with the District of Saanich, launched the One Planet Seniors initiative in 2025. This initiative is providing free support to Seniors home facilities (55+ strata, independent living and care homes) based in Saanich.

Supporting connection, purpose, and resident-led activity

Do you live in a 55+ or seniors home in Saanich?

….or know someone who does?

The Sustainable Living in Seniors Homes Program supports residents in independent living, assisted living, and 55+ communities to lead simple, meaningful activities that build connection, wellbeing, and purpose.  Activities may include storytelling circles, gardening, repair cafés, or practical workshops based on resident interests.
